Expanding educational access, Χ���ʦ Tech brings career-focused training to Fort Riley for soldiers, veterans, and the community.

Χ���ʦ, KS – Χ���ʦ (Χ���ʦ Tech) is excited to announce its expansion to Fort Riley, providing career-focused education opportunities directly on post. Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in June 2024, Χ���ʦ Tech established a dedicated office in the Fort Riley Education Center, which officially opened in October 2024.

Currently, Χ���ʦ Tech offers the Welding Certificate A program (19 credit hours) at Fort Riley. Students can choose from a 16-week evening session—starting each January and August—or two accelerated 8-week daytime sessions per semester, with the next session beginning March 24, 2025.

“These courses are designed to serve a variety of students, including active-duty service members, high school students, transitioning soldiers, and veterans looking to build hands-on, in-demand skills,” said Emily Harper, Military Relations Student Success Advisor at Χ���ʦ Tech. “The program is also open to the public, provided they can gain access to Fort Riley.”

Financial aid options, including Tuition Assistance, VA benefits, and other funding sources, are available to help cover the cost of tuition.

In addition to the welding program, Χ���ʦ Tech plans to launch Business courses at Fort Riley in Fall 2025, with the potential for further program expansion in the future.

“Our goal is to create greater access to technical education for those who need it most, whether they’re preparing for civilian careers after military service or seeking a skilled trade to enter the workforce,” Chris Boxberger, Dean of Academic Partnerships and Outreach added. “We want the Fort Riley community to know we are here and ready to support their educational and career goals.”
